Additional Secretary of Land Ministry Anis Mahmud has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of Islamic Foundation on deputation.
On Thursday (Jan.30) a notification has been issued in this connection by the Public Administration Ministry.
After the expiry of the tenure of Shamim Mohammad Afzal as the DG on last December 31, Md. A. Hamid, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs was posted as the acting (additional charge) DG. Now with the appointment of Anis Mahmud Islamic Foundation got full time DG.
Anis Mahmud, an officer of BCS 9th batch hails from Fulgazi of Feni. Earlier he served as the Deputy Commissioner of Netrokona and Khulna.
It may be mentioned here that Islamic Foundation is an organization under Ministry of Religious Affairs.
