Four persons were killed and several were injured as a Feni-bound bus overturned and fell into a road-side ditch on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar Highway in the mid –night of Friday(Feb.7).
The incident took place near Chiringa Highway Police Outpost on the highway around 11:30pm when the bus of Star Line Paribahan lost control and overturned before falling in the road-side ditch, leaving three males and one female dead on the spot and one injured, said by Anisur Rahman, in charge of Chirigya police out post to barta24.com.
Policemen and fire service officials recovered the bodies and rescued the injured and other passengers of the bus, he said. The injured persons were rushed to upazila health complex for treatment, the police official said.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, he added.
