Prime Minister asks MPs not to do any excess over Mujib Borsho

Prime Minister and Awami League(AL) president Sheikh Hasina directed the party leaders not to do anything excess while celebrating Mujib Borsho.

Don’t do anything excess and not to be overactive while celebrating Mujib Borsho,” an MP, who was present at the meeting of the parliamentary party on Tuesday(Feb.18) at the Sangsad Bhavan quoted the Prime Minister as saying.

Sheikh Hasina also asked the party men not to install any mural of Bangabandhu without the approval of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust. She said that the objective of ours will be in Mujib Borsho to give shelters to the shelter less people.

Several MPs said the Prime Minister also cautioned all not to create distance between the party and lawmakers while celebrating Mujib Borsho.

They said that the AL president expressed dissatisfaction over the absence of some of the senior lawmakers of the party, who have seat beside her in the House, during the sitting of parliament sessions.

Several MPs in the meeting demanded to ensure their inclusion in different coordination committees in their respective areas to strengthen the bodies.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked the party leaders and activists to work more sincerely for the welfare of the people following the ideology of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

She also informed that in connection with Mujib Borsho, the former president of India Pranab Mukharjee, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Bhutan’s King Raja Zigmey Thirsey Wang Chuk have been invited. We will release postal stamps in connection with Mujib Borsho, the Prime Minister added.

Among others Motia Chowdhury MP, Information Minister Dr. Hassan Mahmud MP, former Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad MP, former chief whip ASM Feroz MP, AKM Shamim Osman MP and Gazi Shahnawaj MP spoke in the meeting.
