Elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has launched a raid in the house of two brothers Enamul Haque Enu and Rupan Bhuiyan, two ring leaders of Casino episode. During the raid five safe volts filled with money, gold jewelry, bank FDR and casino equipment were seized.
RAB-3 raided a six-storey house on Lalmohan Saha Street in Old Dhaka in the mid –night of Monday (Feb. 24). The operation was led by RAB Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam.
Sarwar Alam said legal action will be taken against them on various charges including illegal acquisition of wealth. The press briefing will be held after counting of the huge amount money, RAB said.
Earlier, Ganderia Thana Awami League vice-president Enamul Haque Enu and his brother Rupon Bhuiyan were arrested on January 13. At that time Taka 40 lakh in cash, 12 mobile phone sets, house documents and bank papers were recovered.
