University Grants Commission (UGC) will award 172 students with Prime Minister’s Gold Medal.
The gold medal awarding functioning will be held on Wednesday (Feb.26) at the Shapla hall of Prime Minister’s office. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will distribute the gold medals among the recipients.
The recipients 172 students were selected for the gold medal on the basis of the results of 36 public and private universities of the country who has the credit of obtaining highest marks/cgpa of different departments. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni will be special guest in the function.
The function chaired by UGC chairman Dr. Kazi Shahidullah, Education Secretary (secondary & Higher Secondary) will deliver address of welcome.
Deputy Minister of Education ministry Mahibul Hassan Chowdhury, Principal Secretary of PMO Dr. Ahmed Kaikaus and UGC Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain will present in dais.
