Germany has expressed interest in a sustainable solution of the Rohingya Crisis.
On Tuesday (Feb. 25) in a meeting held at the Sangsad office of the Foreign Minister Dr. AK. Abdul Momen the visiting German Economic Cooperation and Development Minister Guard Muller told this.
In the meeting, Foreign Minister Momen highlighted the unprecedented socio-economic progress of Bangladesh.
The Foreign Minister informed the German Minister about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Vision 2021 and 2041 in light of the dream of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The Foreign Minister urged the German Minister to take steps to force Myanmar to create a favorable environment in the Rakhine province of Myanmar so that the displaced Rohingyas can return safely and live there in a dignified manner.
Muller expressed his country's firm commitment to a sustainable solution to the crisis and fully agreed with the recent order of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Myanmar. Minister Muller will visit Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar on Wednesday.
