Foreign ministry of Bangladesh handed over a list of 1 lakh 5 thousand 469 families of displaced Rogingyas to the ambassador of Myanmar in Bangladesh Aung Cha Mo- Key. So far lists containing the names of six lakh Rohigyas have been handed over to Myanmar authority for safe repatriation to Rakhaine on Wednesday (March 18). The list of the rest will also be handed over in phases, said a foreign ministry source.
Earlier, though Bangladesh supplied the lists of 83, 585 Rohingyas in three phases, the Myanmar authority has so far verified less than 10 thousand Rohingyas.
It is learnt from foreign ministry sources, a complete data bank containing all information including finger prints of each Rohingya have been prepared.
To check the fraudulent practices by many Rohingyas for going abroad using Bangladeshi passports this data bank will be handed over to Department of Passport and Immigration(DIP) and Special Branch(SB) of Police.
