Benapole Port Police has recovered 48 kilograms of hemp and 100 bottles of Indian phensidyl in abandoned condition from the border area.
On Monday (March 23) afternoon this consignment was recovered from Bahadurpur village under Benapole Port Police Station.
Police informed that acting on a tip off a raid was carried at Bahadurpur High school ground. Smelling police raid the smugglers managed to escape. Later on 48 kilograms of hemp and 100 bottles of Indian phensidyl were recovered in abandoned condition.
Benapole Port Police Officer in Charge Mamun Khan has confirmed the matter of recovery.
