To diagnose and prevent coronavirus diseases the Chinese aid loaded special flight from Kunming reached Dhaka on Thursday (March 26) afternoon.
This batch of medical logistics, including 10,000 testing kits, 10,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) and 1,000 infrared thermometers, arrived here from Kunming.
The medical logistics were brought by a special aircraft of the government of China to help Bangladesh fight the COVID-19. The special flight carrying the medical logistics landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 4:25pm.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming and Bangladesh government officials were present at the airport.
Director General of Health directorate Prof. Dr. Abul Kalam Azad received the aid package on behalf of the government. He said that on March 29 another consignment will arrive from China.
Chinese ambassador said that on this day Bangladesh’s Independence Day we are happy to hand over this corona preventive aid as a token of love of the Chinese people. During our crisis time Bangladesh also helped us and now the time has come to return the love and affection to Bangladesh, he added.
