The velocity at which the people across the country are being infected from cronavirus, it can be termed as limited community transmission.

Regarding the latest situation of coronavirus on Saturday (April 4), in the IEDCR's regular press briefing made by the Director General of Health Services(DGHS)Prof. Dr Abul Kalam Azad said the infection has spread among the members of their family first through those who came from abroad.

We have seen that those who mixed with those members were infected as well. Such was an incident in Mirpur of the capital. There he used to pray together and walk together. There was close contact with the victim though he was not his family member. He has also been infected by his contact.

He said the current situation in Bangladesh must be called community transmission. However, our test system is not yet very adequate. We have not yet understood the situation. In the present context we can say it community transmission, but in limited form.

He also said, as I saw in Shibchar of Madaripur where 10 persons got infected in one place. It was a cluster. However, we do not find such places anywhere in Bangladesh. We will enhance the test and have more meetings with specialists today (Saturday). Then we will decide what to do.
