Six physicians of Bangladesh -Kuwait Friendship hospital dismissed

Government has earmarked Uttara's Bangladesh -Kuwaiti Friendship Hospital to treat the patients of coronavirus. However, six doctors of the hospital were dismissed for not attending the workplace.

Director of the Directorate of Health (Administration) Dr. Belal Hossain issued the order on Saturday evening (April 11).

The measures were taken on the basis of a report provided by the Superintendent of the hospital last Thursday.

The dismissed doctors are junior consultant (anesthesiology) Dr. Hiraswa Chandra Roy, Medical Officer Dr. Farhana Hasanat, Medical Officer Dr. Urmi Parvin, Medical Officer Dr. Kawsar Ullah, Junior Consultant (Gynee) Dr. Sharmin Hossain and Resident Physician Dr. Muhammad Fazlul Huq.

Among them Dr. Sharmin and Dr. Fazlul said they were not willing to treat patients suffering from Covid-19. Others have been absent from the hospital for the last one and a half months to two months.
