Dhaka: A special team visited the hospitals and isolation centers to know the conditions of corona-infected policemen. Under the direction of Inspector General of Police(IGP) Benazir Ahmed, various police units have formed special teams comprising senior officers to meet the affected police personnel in person.
On Friday (May 8) evening, a special team of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police visited the DMP's traffic barracks at the Central Police Hospital in Rajarbagh and an extension of the Central Police Hospital for corona treatment and met the infected policemen.
At this time, the policemen who were infected by corona raised their various problems. The special team immediately took the initiative to solve the problem.
Initially, these special teams will investigate every member of the corona infected police member, looking about their treatment, looking about their various problems while they are in hospital or in isolation centers and take immediate steps to solve them.
A special team of police will take effective steps to ensure that every member, irrespective of ranks receives the necessary treatment as advised by the doctor.
Six policemen already died while performing duties to ensure public safety during the corona period. About 1500 policemen have been infected. Of them a total of 98 corona infected police men have recovered.
