Eight more people died while 636 persons were infected fresh from corona in last 24 hours bringing the death toll to 214 while the number of total infection rose to 13770 so far.
This was disclosed by Prof. Nasima Sultana, Addl. DG of DGHS in the regular health bulletin on Saturday (May 9).
Prof. Nasima Sultana said that 5247 samples were collected in 35 labs while 5465 samples were tested. So far 116919 samples were tested in the country since last March 8.
At the initial stage though the infection rate was a bit low but now it is jumping upward everyday.
