Public transport to run in a limited scale from May 31

Dhaka: Public holidays will not be extended during the ongoing coronavirus situation in the country. As a result, all offices are opening from May 31. During this time, limited number of passenger buses, boats and trains will run in compliance with the hygiene rules.
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain told Barta24.com on Wednesday (May 27) night.

The State Minister said, the Prime Minister has informed a new decision few miniuites back. That is, public transport will be able to operate in a limited scale in compliance with the health rules. In that case, no time limit was fixed. As a result, passenger buses, boats and trains will be running from May 31. The main thing is to follow the health rules.

In the first phase, the public holiday was given from March 26 to April 4 due to coronavirus. After that the holiday was extended to 11 April. The holiday was extended for the third time till April 14. In the fourth phase, the leave was extended till April 25. In the fifth phase, the leave was extended from April 26 to May 5 and in the sixth phase from May 6 to May 18. Lastly it was extended from 18 to 30 May.
