Globe Biotech Limited, a subsidiary of Globe Pharmaceuticals, has announced the discovery of a vaccine capable of fighting coronavirus.
The company announced the claim of the discovery of the vaccine at a news conference on Thursday (July 2).
Highlighting the progress of the vaccine, they said that the vaccine has already been able to produce antibody in the body of the animal in the initial trial.
At the end of the clinical trial, the company is moving towards the second phase trial of the vaccine. This will take 6 to 8 weeks. The vaccine will then go into human clinical trials. The company will seek permission from government authorities before starting trials on human bodies. They will go to trial as soon as they get permission.
Earlier on Wednesday, Globe Biotech Limited said in a statement that according to the NCBI virus database, 5,743 complete genome sequences have been submitted worldwide as of June 30. Of which 76 have been submitted from Bangladesh. Globe Biotech Limited confirms their ticker target by testing the sequence through the Bioinformatics tool. They are hopeful that it will logically be more effective in this geographical area.
