Police have arrested Sabrina Arif Chowdhury, chairman of JKG and cardiac surgeon of the National Heart Institute, for allegedly giving false reports in the name of corona test.
Tejgaon division deputy commissioner Harun Aur Rashid told a news conference on Sunday (July 12) that Dr. Sabrina would be taken to court on Monday (July 13). Dr. Sabrina is currently lodged in the jail of Tenjgaon police station.
According to police, Sabrina's husband Ariful Haque Chowdhury had said during interrogation that she was involved in collecting samples of coronavirus test and giving fake results. Now the investigating officers want to interrogate Sabrina more intensively. For this reason, a four-day remand will be sought by sending her to court.
Earlier Dr. Sabrina entered the police station at around 5 pm and became silent. According to police sources, she fell asleep around 10 pm.

According to police sources, her husband JKG, CEO Arif was arrested and who vandalized the CCTV camera inside the jail. But she is very quiet. A case has also been filed by the police in connection with the vandalism of Arif's CCTV camera. A total of 3 cases against Arif have been filed.
Meanwhile, after Sabrina's arrest, Harun Aur Rashid, DC of Tejgaon division of the police, said that Sabrina would be produced in court on Monday (July 13) and a remand prayer would be made. After interrogation in remand, it will be possible to know the details about who else is involved in this fake report scam.
Staffs of the JKG who were arrested on charges of forgery in the name of corona test were interrogated. All of them said Dr. Sabrina is the chairman of JKG.
He added that Sabrina spoke to the media as a spokesperson for the institution when allegations of an attack on JKG's booth at Tejgaon College surfaced. A day before the police drive, she herself left the institution. As a government official, she can never be the chairman of any organization. Sabrina cannot avoid her responsibility for what happened with the collection and testing of the samples.
