The passport recovered from Shahid's Uttara Regent's office had visa endorsements of four countries. Rab said that it has received information about money laundering in those four countries.

Lieutenant Colonel Ashiq Billah, director of the media wing of the Rapid Action Battalio(Rab) briefed the media on Sunday (July 26) at the Rab headquarters.

The Rab official said Shahed would be taken from Dhaka Jail to 6 offices in Khulna tomorrow. The remand of the arms case has been granted there and its activities will be conducted. However, the passport was confiscated from his office. It had visas from four countries. I have received information that Shahid has travelled to those four countries and smuggled out money there.

Meanwhile, after hearing the remand of four cases under the Arms and Special Powers Act, the court granted remand for 28 days and 21 days in three cases of his associate MD Masood Parvez.

Shahed and Masud were produced in the court around 9:30 am. He was taken to the court for remand hearing at around 12:15 pm. The police applied for remand for 10 days and 40 days in four cases of Shahed and 30 days for 10 days in three cases of Masud.

On behalf of the state, Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Abdullah Abu and Assistant Public Prosecutors Azad Rahman and Hemayat Uddin Khan Hiron demanded remand while defense lawyers Nazmul Hossain, Shah Alam and Moniruzzaman on behalf of the accused canceled the remand and sought bail.

At one stage of the hearing, Shahed spoke with the permission of the court.

He told the judge, I have done wrong. I am involved in all crimes. I will pay back all the money to those who have sued me.

Shahed said what condition I have been in for the last 12-13 days. I can't bear anymore. I'm under pressure. I'm sick'.

At that time, Shahed prayed for fixing a remand hearing date after Eid.

Opposing the prosecution, Shahed said that the accused had embezzled money from the patients even though he was supposed to undergo corona test without any money. He is a great fraud. Although he was not ill, he claimed in court on July 18 that he was a corona patient supported by a fake corona positive certificate. We are praying that the remand sought by the police will be granted.

At that time, the lawyers of the accused applied for bail seeking cancellation of remand.

After hearing both sides, the court rejected the bail prayer and ordered remand of Shahed for seven days and 28 days in four cases and in for seven days and 21 days of Masud in three cases.
