More 10 thousand media men to get financial assistance

Special assistance will be provided from the Prime Minister's Fund to more 10 thousand personnel as the front line warrior to overcome the difficult times of the corona pandemic. Media personnel will receive this assistance regardless of party affiliation. It will not be considered who the BNP or any other party is.

State Minister for Information Dr. Murad Hassan MP said this while addressing a function of Prime Minister’s cheque distribution  at Mymensingh Press Club on Sunday (July 26) organized by Bangladesh Journalists Welfare Trust and Mymensingh Journalists Union (MUJ).

The state minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has stood by the people with utmost sincerity in the ongoing difficult times, which has given her a place in the seat of a loving mother.

He said the Prime Minister had provided financial assistance to 5,000 journalists in the first phase from a special fund which is still ongoing. In the next phase, more than 10 thousand journalists will be given financial assistance from this fund.

The state minister announced the establishment of a lab with 20 computers at Mymensingh Press Club.

Mymensingh City Corporation Mayor Ikramul Haque Titu, Deputy Commissioner Mizanur Rahman, Superintendent of Police Ahmaruzzaman, President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists Mollah Jalal, Secretary General Shaban Mahmud, District Awami League General Secretary Advocate Moazzem Hossain Babul and Vice President of the Press Club Dr. K. R Islam spoke in the function chaired by MUJ president Ataul Karim Khokon.
