Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that he is facing a tough challenge in politics, urging the leaders and activists to be on the highest alert against BNP in the political arena. The joint meeting was organized to meet this challenge. At that time, he commented that BNP is not an opponent, but an enemy.
He said this after the joint meeting of presidium members with the leaders of various regions of Dhaka at the party office on Bangabandhu Avenue on Sunday (October 1).
Highlighting the Prime Minister's speech given in Voice of America, he said that the issue of Khaleda Zia's treatment has been clarified in the words of the Prime Minister in the interview. Our leader is very much sensitive about Khaleda Zia. She has shown utmost generosity towards the BNP Chairperson.
Stating that the Prime Minister will return to the country on October 4 at noon, Obaidul Quader further said that she will bring many international awards and honors for us. However, she has turned down the Awami League's offer to welcome the Prime Minister when she returns home.
