BNP has announced a new program demanding the resignation of the ruling Awami League government and the release of Khaleda Zia.
Secretary General of the party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced this in the speech as the chief guest at the rally after the road march program on the road next to the party office of BNP in Kazir Deuri area of Chattogram city on Thursday (October 5) at around 9 pm.
He said, we are announcing a peaceful program. Rally in cities and districts across the country on October 9 for the release of national leader Begum Zia and her treatment abroad, student convention in Dhaka to demand the resignation of the fascist government on October 12, hunger strike across the country including Dhaka on October 14, youth rally in Dhaka on October 16 for a one-point demand, and another rally in Dhaka on the 18th.There will be another program to be announced at that gathering. We hope that is the last program.
Fakhrul said, we want to see the month of October. Durga Puja is ahead. We do not want to give any strict program before Durga Puja. We are doing a peaceful movement. We want to advance this peaceful movement. If any attack is made on us, disturbance is made, our people are unjustly harassed, arrested, then the people of Bangladesh will not accept it. Injuries will be repelled, immunity will be built up. And that resistance will be the beginning of victory for the people of Bangladesh right now.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged the government to resign during Durga Puja and said that Durga Puja will be held after October 18. In the meantime, let the government resign, let your good sense emerge. You resign. Resign and hold elections under a non-party caretaker government. Otherwise the mob will take over that power.
