On Sunday (October 22) around 11:15 pm, Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP joint convener Alhaj Yunus Mridha was arrested by the police from Rampura. Arrested Alhaj Yunus Mridha has been kept in Rampura police station.
This has been confirmed by Saidur Rahman Mintu, who is in charge of Dhaka Metropolitan BNP office. He said that Yunus Mridha is on bail in all cases.
He also said that in the last 24 hours, the law and order forces have arrested 30 leaders and activists from different police stations and wards of Dhaka metropolitan south.
Earlier on October 17, another joint convener of Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP, Abdus Sattar, was detained by the police from the court premises
