Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said there was a conspiracy to occupy the Gonobhaban in Sri Lankan style if the curfew was not clamped.
Obaidul Quader said this at the distribution ceremony of food items among helpless families on the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Dhaka District Awami League Office in Tejgaon of the capital on Sunday (July 28).
Obaidul Quader said that if the curfew was not clamped, there was a conspiracy to occupy the Gonobhaban in the style of Sri Lanka. Army has not fired a single shot since curfew was imposed.
