Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has compared those infiltrating into the party with polluted blood and said such blood has to be pumped out.
While submitting the general secretary’s report to the 21st council of the Awami League on Saturday (Dec 21), he said those involved in misdeeds have to be removed from party positions.
“Pure blood has to be infused into the party to replace the polluted blood. It has to be done at every level of the party,” he added.
The second session of the two-day Awami League council began at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh on Saturday morning.
Earlier, party President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the council on Friday afternoon.
