Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka in the second ODI in a row by 103 runs to win the three-match series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur in Dhaka on Tuesday (May 25).
With this, Bangladesh secured the top position of the ODI Super League as Tigers achieved 50 points from 5 wins out of 8 matches. Before this match, Bangladesh was on the 4th spot. Bangladesh topped Australia, Pakistan and England. Each of these three bagged scored 40 points.
In the second ODI against Sri Lanka, Tigers posted 246 runs in their innings losing all wickets in 48.1 overs.
However, the target was later set 245 runs for Sri Lanka as the match was reduced to 40 overs due to rain
In reply, Sri Lanka managed to score 141 runs losing nine wickets.
For Bangladesh, spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraj and pacer Mustafizur Rahman shared three wickets each.
All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan smashed two wickets while Shoriful Islam bagged one wicket.
Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim hit a brilliant innings of 125 runs off 127 balls with 10 fours.
Mahmudullah scored 41 runs off 58 balls with a four and two sixes.
Opener Tamim Iqbal hit 13 runs from 6 balls while another opener Liton Das returned to the pavilion after posting 25 runs off 42 balls.
Mohammad Saifuddin scored 11 runs while Afif Hossain and Mosaddek Hossain each hit 10 runs.
For Sri Lanka, Dushmantha Chameera and Lakshan Sandakan shared three wickets each. Isuru Udana smashed two wickets while Wanindu Hasaranga bagged one wicket.
