Tamim Iqbal said that he will not stay as the captain of Bangladesh team in ODI cricket.
He announced this at a press conference at the BCB president's residence on Thursday (August 3) evening.
After a closed-door meeting with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon and head of operations committee Jalal Yunus, Tamim said that he is stepping down from the ODI captaincy thinking about the team.
At that time, the BCB president said that Tamim had told him that he would not captain ODIs again. And Jalal Yunus said that Tamim will not play in the Asia Cup.
