Zimbabwe's former legendary cricketer Heath Streak breathed his last.

On Tuesday (August 22), the former Bangladesh Coach succumbed to cancer at the age of 49. News from GymLive and New Zealand Herald.

Heath Streak was diagnosed with cancer in May this year. He was then flown to South Africa for treatment. Then the doctors said, his chances of survival are very slim.

The streak debuted against South Africa in 1993. He has played 189 ODIs and 65 Tests in the jersey of Zimbabwe. This all-rounder has 1990 runs and 216 wickets in Tests. He scored 2943 runs and took 239 wickets in ODI cricket. Streak has also led the country in 21 Tests and 68 ODI matches. He played the last match in the Zimbabwe jersey in 2005.

After retiring in 2005, he coached several teams at domestic and international level, including Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Kolkata Knight Riders.
