An England batsman run out on the final ball of the match left the scores tied on 241 forcing the first Super Over in a World Cup Final in cricket history.

The Super Over

Three batsmen, one bowler from each team. The team batting second, will bat first - so England will bat first. Buttler and Stokes will bat. IF the super over is tied - the team with the more boundaries will win - that's England right now. They have already got six more boundaries than New Zealand.

Guptill on strike. 2 to win from one. They have to get both the runs. World Cup on the line.

Ball 5: Archer to Neesham, 1 run, short one, holds up in the wicket, Neesham misses the pull, off the under-edge into the pitch for a single. 14/0

Ball 4: Archer to Neesham, 2 runs, very full in length, clipped off the boots towards cow corner for a couple - a throw at the non-striker's end, and they've managed a couple. Guptill races through for the second. Buttler screams "my end" because Neesham was slow. 13/0

Ball 3: Archer to Neesham, 2 runs, goes fuller, swipes it into the leg-side off the inside edge, a misfield by Roy at deep midwicket, and they've managed a second! Oh my heart is pounding! 11/0

Ball 2: Archer to Neesham, SIX, bangs it in on a length, Neesham absolutely smokes this one over the cow corner boundary and into the crowd! 9/0

Ball 1: Archer to Neesham, 2 runs, inch-perfect yorker length delivery outside off, dug out off the toe-end with a bit of the pitch towards long-off for a couple. 3/0

Ball 1: Archer to Neesham, wide, round the wicket, just over the tramline, Neesham lets it go through, and the umpire stretches his arms. 1/0 Was that a wide? The ball went over the line on the replay. Neesham took a step past the off stump too.

England set 16 run target in one over

Ball 6: Boult to Buttler, FOUR full-toss, errs on the fuller side whilst attempting the yorker, swatted away with that giant bottom-hand towards the deep midwicket boundary for four! 15/0

Ball 5: Boult to Buttler, 2 runs. Oh Nicholls has lost it in the sun. Reacts late and gives away an easy second run. Nice yorker length delivery, Stokes backs away deep into the crease and slices it away towards deep extra cover for a couple. 11/0

Ball 4: Boult to Stokes, 1 run, full toss outside off, scythed away towards cover, and Ferguson dives to cut it off - a single. 9/0. Oh Stokes, a chip over the infield would have been a boundary because there was no one in the deep

Ball 3: Boult to Stokes, FOUR, very full on off, Stokes almost got too far forward, whip-sweeps it away into the gap at cow corner for four. Brilliant adjustment from Stokes, to get down on one knee and power it to beat the dive at deep mid-wicket. 8/0

Ball 2: Boult to Buttler, 1 run, fuller length delivery on middle, swatted away hard with a strong bottom-hand towards deep square leg for a single. 4/0

Ball 1: Boult to Stokes, 3 runs, fuller length delivery on off, Stokes gets across and tries to heave it over cow corner, gets a massive outside edge over short third man for a treble. 3/0

Stokes takes strike. Boult to bowl.
