Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss and chose to bat in the third one-day international against Bangladesh at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday.
The hosts will be looking to sweep the series after winning the first two matches by 91 runs and seven wickets respectively.
Bangladesh lost both of the first two matches of the series. So today’s game came as a chance for the hosts to register a clean-sweep. However, Bangladesh’s interim captain Tamim Iqbal said they are up to destroy the party of Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh overlooked Mosaddek Hossain for this match and field Anamul Haque Bijoy for the first time in this series. They also replaced Mustafizur Rahman with Rubel Hossain.
