Liverpool and Chelsea battle in the UEFA Super Cup tonight with Jurgen Klopp and Frank Lampard both facing injury concerns.

Champions League holders Liverpool will be without Alisson Becker for "a number of weeks" after the number one goalkeeper suffered a calf injury during their 4-1 Premier League victory over Norwich City last Friday.

Adrian came off the bench for his Liverpool debut in that game at Anfield, while Andy Lonergan - who went on tour with the club to the USA this summer due to a lack of keepers - is expected to sign a short-term contract and take a place on the bench in Istanbul.

Naby Keita appears unlikely to feature after limping out of training at Vodafone Park on Tuesday evening with what appears to be a muscle complaint.

Other than Alisson, Keita and Nathaniel Clyne - out for around six months with a knee injury - Klopp has a clean bill of health heading to Turkey.

The manager has hinted that Sadio Mane could start after coming on against Norwich, with Divock Origi the likely fall guy despite an impressive display at Anfield.

As for Chelsea, Lampard has a few selection dilemmas after the Blues' 4-0 hammering against Manchester United on Sunday.

Lampard defended his selection of youngsters such as Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham after that defeat by suggesting he could not force players out of the treatment room, and once again backed Mount during his press conference on Tuesday.

N'Golo Kante picked up a small injury at Old Trafford and will be assessed further, and may not be risked given his importance to Lampard's team.

Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud - who were second-half substitutes at Old Trafford - are likely to start on Wednesday, while Antonio Rudiger and Willian will be on the bench after returning from injury.

Kurt Zouma struggled badly in central defence but with Rudiger not ready and Fikayo Tomori the only deputy, he is set to continue in the XI.
