Even before 24 hours before leaving the country his name was not announced as captain. But suddenly the scenario changed. Mahmuddullah Riad has been appointed captain of T20I as soon Shakib was slapped ban. Under his leadership Bangladesh team left Dhaka in India mission.
Before departing for Delhi obviously the name of Shakib came up. Mahmuduallah was with his long time teammate Shakib. He said that, ‘We all know that how much big cricketer Shakib is! You see that, Shakib had committed mistake but did not commit any crime. He needs our total support.’
Simultaneously he said that they will go for giving their best in three match T20I series. We will keep our eyes on victory.
On 3rd November the first T20I will be played in Delhi as the inaugural match of India tour. Next two T20I matches will be held at Rajkot and Nagpur on November 7 and 10 respectively.
Next the Test battle will begin. The first Test will begin at Indore on November 14. Next the Day – Night Test will begin at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on November 22. Mominul Haque will lead the Test team in this series. As Shakib has been trapped in ICC ban, BCB has brought Mominul in his place.
