The Career Services Office (CSO) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a webinar on 16 June 2020 on “Fintech and Beyond Covid -19”.
Mr. Sayeed Nasir, Head, Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development, bKash, and Mr. Amitabh Roy, General Manager, Finance, Business Partnering and Pricing, bKash, conducted the webinar.
In his inspirational speech, Mr. Naser said that, with the passage of time, adaptability, flexibility, willingness to learn, and hard work, will become significant traits that students must develop. He added that students of all disciplines need to have an understanding of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and so on. They should also understand the implications of their knowledge in the organization.
Mr. Roy said that a graduate may not have a good CGPA, but if s/he has a solid record of effective and creative time management skills, launched a startup with innovative ideas, got training in various skills, engaged in extracurricular activities during student life, then s/he has a good chance in the job market.
ULAB’s Vice Chancellor Dr. H M Jahirul Haque presented the welcome speech while the Mr. Rashedul Amin, DGM, Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development, bKash, conducted the webinar. An interactive question-answer session followed the discussion in which students and faculty members from different departments of ULAB participated.
