Sheikh Hasina condoled the death of Subir Nandi
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has condoled the death of the legendary musician Subir Nandi. She expressed her deep sorrow and grief at the sad demise of this great vocal artiste who had won National Film awards for five times and will remain alive in his creations, Sheikh Hasina added.
On Tuesday (May 7) The Prime Minister who is now on a visit to London said this in a message. The Prime Minister prayed for the salvation of his departed soul and expressed her sympathy to the grief stricken family of late Nandi.
It is to be mentioned here that the Ekushey Padak winner singer breathed his last in the small hours of this morning at Singapore General Hospital while he was under treatment for his kidney and heart ailments.
The speaker of Jatiyo Sangsad Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, Foreign Minister Dr. Ak. Abdul Momen, Deputy Speaker Md. Fazle Rabbi Mia and deputy leader of the House Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury also expressed deep sorrow at the death of Subir Nandi.
