Prime Minister gave Eid greetings to the countrymen

Dhaka, (Barta24.com): Giving the countrymen an advance Eid greetings the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that, 'as I will not be available here during ensuing Eid festival so I am giving Eid greeting in advance from here to my fellow countrymen and the expatriate Bangladeshis.'

On Thursday (May23) the Prime Minister at her official residence Gonobhavan arranged an Iftar Mahfil in honor of the judges, diplomats, high ranking civil and army officials.

Expressing sorry the Prime Minister said that as I will be abroad I cannot stay in the country during Eid festival. First I will go Japan, next to Saudi Arabia to take part in OIC conference and from there to Finland. I will return back on June 7.

Sheikh Hasina sought the cooperation of all for continuing the socio-economic development of the country and for maintaining the law and order of the country.

Sheikh Hasina said that we like to build up a terrorism free, militancy free, corruption free and drug abuse free country.

Before Iftar Mahfil an special prayer was done seeking continuous peace, progress and prosperity of the country.

Among others Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Kader, Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen, Political Adviser to the Prime Minister H.T. Imam, Security Adviser Major General(Rtd)Tarique Ahmed Siddiky, State Minister for Public Administration Forhad Hossain, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam, Principal Secretary to PMO Nazibur Rahman, Chiefs of three services and deans of the diplomatic cores were present with the Prime Minister in the stage.

CEC KM Nurul Huda, the judges of Appeal and High Court divisions, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, high civil and military officials and cultural personalities were also present.
