Eight deals will be inked during Prime Minister’s China visit
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has informed that during the visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to China there will be discussion on Rohyinga issue and eight agreements will be signed between the two countries.
On Friday (June 28) in a press conference held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the five day visit to China by the Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister informed.
Sheikh Hasina will participate in the summer meeting of the World Economic Forum in the Dalian province of China.
Sheikh Hasina will hold bilateral meeting with Chinese Prime Minister Li Chechiang on July 4 while she will meet Chinese President Xi Zinping on Jule 5. Sheikh Hasina will also hold meeting with National People’s Congress chairman Li Zhangsu.
Foreign Minister said that during the meeting with the Chinese leaders there will be discussion on Bangladesh –China strategic relation, bilateral, regional and global matters. Our Prime Minister will discuss the Rohyinga issue with Chinese Prime Minister.
AK Abdul Momen said that I don’t believe that China is supporting Myanmar in Rohyinga issue. They gave us support and help in this issue. China also wants that the Rohyingas return to their country. China told us that the problem be solved through bilateral discussion. We are following that path.
When asked about the use of veto by China in the Security Council on Rohyinga issue he said that their might have other reasons. What message Bangladesh will carry on Rohyinaga issue he said that we will tell China that the Rohyingas are the nationals of Myanmar and if this huge people stay here for long time then a situation of uncertainty will be created hampering the development of the whole region.
Though Russia and China initially were against us on this issue but now they support us. Even India is with us on this issue.
