BNP is doing politics with the dengue outburst rather than extending their help to prevent it, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader alleged.
Obaidul Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, made the allegation while participating in a cleanliness campaign near Farmgate area in the capital around on Saturday.
"BNP are neither doing anything to prevent dengue menace nor standing beside the flood victims. They have not participated in any cleanliness campaigns but repeatedly called upon the government to declare state of emergency or dengue as an epidemic," he said.
Terming BNP as a failed political party, Quader said the party is in a state of crisis and a state of emergency should be declared to rescue it.
The Awami League leader also urged everyone to travel with caution and be aware of dengue during the Eid holiday travels.
