The reserves of Bangladesh is now 23.57 billion dollars: IMF

Bangladesh Bank has finally accepted the International Monetary Fund (IMF) methodology for calculating reserves. According to that calculation, as of Thursday (July 13), Bangladesh's foreign exchange reserves are 23.57 billion dollars.

However, according to Bangladesh Bank's calculation method, the country's reserves are 29.97 billion dollars as of Wednesday (July 12).

One of the conditions for the IMF loan of 4.7 billion dollars to Bangladesh was to calculate the reserves according to the BPM-6 (Balance of Payment and International Investment Position) model by June.
