World must be prepared to face the next pandemic- WHO

The world must be better prepared for the next pandemic, said Tedros Adhanom Gheribaisas, head of the World Health Organization (WHO). He even called on countries to increase investment in public health.

He made the remarks at a news conference in Geneva on Monday (September 7).

According to a report in Reuters, 27.19 million people worldwide have been infected with corona. 8 lakh 88 thousand 328 people died so far.

The WHO chief said, ‘History has shown that pandemics teach us the value of life. So the world must be ready before the next pandemic comes. We have to be more prepared than this time.’
