There were large protests in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, against Israel's indiscriminate attack on Gaza. Reuters reported that more than 300,000 people participated in the protest on Saturday (November 11).
The London police arrested 82 people who took part in a counter-protest to counter this protest. Those who took part in the counter-protests are said to be members of various far-right groups in the country.
The counter-protest comes after demonstrations in support of Palestine began in central London on Saturday. There have been incidents of police clashes with several small groups in counter-protests.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has condemned the clash. At the same time, Sunak also attacked those who took part in the massive protest and wore anti-Semitic slogans and various pro-Hamas banners and clothes to show sympathy for Hamas.
Incidentally, Israel has been attacking Gaza for more than a month. During this time there were several demonstrations in London protesting the attack and demanding a ceasefire.
But Saturday's protest was the biggest. There was extreme tension in London around this protest.
Tensions flared up, particularly after British Home Secretary Suella Braverman called the protest a hate march.
