Another plane has crashed in Washington, DC, in the United States, just days after a collision between a passenger plane and a military helicopter.

A small plane with two people on board crashed near Roosevelt Boulevard and Cottman Avenue in northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at around 6:30 pm local time on Friday (January 31).

The Express Tribune reported this information in a report on Saturday (February 1).

The report said that the plane with at least two people on board crashed near a shopping mall.

However, some local media reported that there were six passengers on board.

Fire officials said that several houses caught fire after the crash. The wreckage of the plane hit several vehicles. Police sources said that some businesses near Roosevelt Mall were also damaged in the explosion. Emergency responders are working to control the fire and assess the damage.

The cause of the crash is not yet known. Authorities have not released details about the plane's origin or destination.

Earlier on Wednesday (January 29), a helicopter and a passenger plane collided in mid-air over Washington, D.C., destroying both the helicopter and the plane. All 67 people on board are believed to have been killed. The bodies of 41 people have been recovered so far.
