Top Iran General Qassim Soleimani killed in a rocket attack
Several rocket attacks have occurred near the Iraqi Baghdad airport. At least eight people were killed, including Iran's top general Qassim Soleimani.
Security sources confirmed that two vehicles were also destroyed in the attack on Friday (January 3). Besides, the Iraqi television quoting US officials have been broadcasting this information.
Iran-backed Iraqi militia Popular Population Mobilization Forces say their top official, Qassim Soleimani, was killed in the attack. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack was aimed at two Iran-related targets. Concerned said that the attack is a strong turning point for the Middle East.
Iraqi paramilitary Hashd Shabbi said five of his members and two 'guests' were killed in a rocket attack on their car on the grounds of the Baghdad International Airport on Friday (Jan.3).
