Former cricket greats congratulate Bangladesh young tigers
Last year Bangladesh Youth cricket team lost to India in the three-nation tournament and the Asia Cup final in England. Bangladesh also got India in the U-19 World Cup final in South Africa. So the fear of winning the title was more visible. But that fear was blown away by Akbar Ali and his teammates. For the first time after defeating India, the Red Green forces won the title. Former Indian cricketers did not hesitate to praise the junior Tigers for the win.
At one point it seemed as if the match might be slipping into the hands of India. Immediately after the injury Parvez Hossain Emon backed Captain Akbar Ali to take the team to a safe place. The batting of these two cricketers has been praised. The Junior Tigers have garnered praise for the former Indian cricketers on the day of losing the title to India by 3 wickets.
Irfan Pathan, a former Indian cricketer, wrote on Twitter: "Congratulations to Bangladesh U-19 team for winning the World Cup. It will bring a lot to their cricket and they were very much needed. India also has played well."
Harbhajan Singh wrote, "It was a great final match in the Under-19 World Cup. Congratulations to Bangladesh Under-19 team for winning the World Cup. Don't worry India, you played like a champion."
Mohamed Kaif, drawing on the mystery of winning Bangladesh, writes, 'Win the match from 85/5! Eamon's batting with the injury and Akbar's cool-headed game helped win Bangladesh.'
Harsha Vogle, a popular commentator and cricket analyst in India, writes, "This is a wonderful moment for Bangladesh cricket. After watching this match, they deserved it (the World Cup)."
Kamran Akmal, the wicketkeeper batsman of Pakistan, wrote: "Congratulations to Bangladesh for being the champion in the Under-19 World Cup. The fate of India is bad. The match between Bangladesh and India was great."
