Novel corona originates from natural sources: WHO
The World Health Organization (WHO) said the coronavirus originated naturally.
Michael Ryan, a senior official at the World Health Organization, insisted on Friday (May 1) that many scientists who tested the virus had identified its source as natural. China had no hand in this.
Earlier on Thursday (April 30), Trump claimed to have spread the coronavirus from a virology institute in Wuhan, China. However, he refused to give evidence of how he knew.
In response to Trump's remarks, Michael Ryan said, "It's better for us to accept that it happened naturally." At least to admit that we disrupted the normal life of the wildlife that resulted in this pandemic.
Therefore, it is important to be careful and take preventive measures later. He also commented that such incidents should not be repeated.
Scientists believe the virus was transmitted from animals to humans. The virus could be transmitted from the Wuhan Wildlife Market in China.
