Sector Commander C.R.Dutt's body arrives in Dhaka

The body of Major General (Retd.) Chitta Ranjan Dutt (CR Dutt) Bir Uttam, Sector Commander of the Bangladesh Liberation War and Founder President of Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Oiky Parishad, has arrived in the country.

The body of CR Dutt arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday (August 31) morning in an Emirates Airlines flight.

Rana Dasgupta, general secretary of Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Oiky Parishad, confirmed this information to the media.
CR Dutt died on August 25 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Florida, USA. He was 93 years old.

The body of CR Dutt will be kept in the mortuary of CMH, Dhaka. From there on Tuesday (September 1) morning his body will be kept for some time at the residence of Banani DOHS. The body will then be taken to the Dhakeswari temple premises for public homage, said Rana Dasgupta.

The body will be taken to Baradeshwari crematorium at 11 am after about two hours from Dhakeswari temple premises. There will be a gun salute to CR Dutt's body before the funeral.
