Dhaka: Being an ex-student of Dhaka University Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her determination to build up the Teachers Students Center(TSC) which will have new look.

She said, ‘I will establish TSC in a completely modern way. It is a meeting place for our students and teachers. I will make it more beautiful. I have already given that instruction. I will do everything there in a new way.’

She made the remarks while addressing a meeting of the Awami League's secretarial committee meeting through video conference at the party's office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Wednesday (September 2). Earlier, a meeting of the party's secretarial committee was held under the chairmanship of Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader.

The Awami League president and the Prime Minister said, "I talked to the Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University. I know the university can’t do it. It will cost huge sum of money beyond the capacity of the university authority. I and the father of the nation was also a student of this university. So I decided to do it. '

She added, we also want to do the Dhaka Medical College very well. Because it is one of our national prestigious institutions, patients come from all over Bangladesh for treatment. So we want to build it in a new way so that 5,000 patients can be treated there. Yes, we can retain some of the old traditions on this premises. But we will build a complete hospital and medical college inside. She has already made that plan. I want to make arrangements so that it can be done quickly. Preserving our traditions there, along with the Medical College, our Shaheed Minar, this Shaheed Minar is also beautifully made, the Shaheed Minar is done keeping the design as it is. Dhaka Medical College with Shaheed Minar was once in Dhaka University. Standing on that platform, our language movement started where the Father of the Nation met on March 16, 1948 to make Bengali the state language. So we would protect that Amtala too. We will do everything, we have given such instructions. '

She also said that Mymensingh is a new divisional city, where the design for construction of a divisional commissioner's building has also been approved.
Sheikh Hasina further said, moreover, the training institute for our BPATC administration cadres is in a very dilapidated condition. We want to make a new plan and new design there. Then I saw the plan and approved it. At the same time, I want to make the public library building in the capital a modern one because it's too old. Very dilapidated and especially the auditorium is in very bad condition. So that a modern public library can be created, where there will be a digital system. There will be a digital library and beautiful cyber cafes so that our students can sit there. We want to build up our national museum with a new look, the pond behind it and the landscape of the public library, and the public library. I have already made a plan for it.
