Day by day in Dhaka's Savar, the terrible rampage of teenage gangs is going on. As a result, Savar has now become a city of terror. 4 murders took place in just two months in Pourashava area. Besides, this gang culture is one of the reasons for constant robbery, domination and drugs. Law and order forces are not able to pull the reins in any way.

Attacks and counter-attacks by open youth gangs are a daily occurrence in Savar Pourashava area. Someone walks with a blood stained body, someone cries for survival in a hospital bed. Common people are affected by such incidents in various parts of Savar pourashava recently due to violence by juvenile gangs. While protesting, color painter Sajjad was killed on April 12 in Arpara of Savar. On March 31, Rabiul, a college student, fought to his death after being robbed by a gang of teenagers in Savar's Radio Colony.

Rabiul Islam, the victim college student, told Bart24.com, 'I was going to duty in the morning. Then I saw two boys sitting and I had a mobile phone in my hand and they called me. Call and tell me what's up. I gave the mobile immediately. Still they stabbed me. My stomach, including my back, got seriously injured. When I screamed, people from around came and brought me to the hospital. I also have problems with my legs, for 18 days I can't even sleep because of the pain.

To save his son, Rabiul's farmer father borrowed money and is now almost destitute. They demanded that such incidents should not happen to any family. The number of victims of such incidents like this family is increasing day by day.

Rabiul Islam's father Ashraful told Barta24.com that our total bill was Tk. 7 lakh. I have paid about Tk. four lakh. I do agricultural work and do housework in people's homes. I have brought this Tk. 4 lakh of the hospital from the people on loan with interest. Financially, I don't think I'll be able to cover this thing in ten years. Now I will have trouble withdrawing the interest every month.

The victim Rabiul's mother told Barta24.com that if we don't get any financial help, there is no regret. My son is in hospital bed for 18 days. My demand is that such incidents like my son should not happen again.

According to data, the main violence of youth gangs in Savar is across the pourashava. Pinik Rabbi, Hridoy Group, Brother Group are quite active. More groups are formed by dividing from their conflicts. At least 4 murders have occurred in the last two months due to the robbery and dominance of teenage gangs. This juvenile gang is involved in various terrorist activities including, robbery, drug trade, land grabbing, extortion, kidnapping to meet expenses.

Rifat, a resident of Savar pourashava, told Barta24.com that criminals mostly consume drugs. They need money for that. They don't do any work. And for this money they rob. If he doesn't get anything or doesn't want to give it, he hits him. A few incidents have happened. Some have died. Our only request to the government is to take strict action against these drug and youth gangs. May they be punished, may they be exterminated once and for all.

A total of 12 people including 8 people including the main gear of the Hriday group and 4 people of the brothers group were arrested in a separate operation by RAB and police last March.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Savar Model Police Station Md. Shah Zaman told Barta24.com that if any person is a victim of such robbery or mugging, then report to us immediately. So that we can identify those involved in this incident and bring them under the law. If you don't report such incidents, if we can't arrest those criminals, then continuous incidents will happen one after another. So whatever happens, it must be reported to the police so that the police can bring the concerned criminals under the law.
