Seeking blessings from the countrymen on her 74th birthday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, ‘I can live with dignity as long as I live. I want the people of Bangladesh to get benefit from me, the people to be good, so that I can do that work.’

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the remarks at the start of a regular cabinet meeting on Monday (September 28). The Prime Minister addressed the cabinet meeting via video conference from her official residence.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, we are trying our best to build this country as the golden Bangladesh, the dream of the Father of the Nation. That the people of Bangladesh can walk with their heads held high in the world court that is my effort, nothing more. Otherwise, it is very difficult to come to this country and work after losing the parents and siblings. Even then I just thought that my father loved the country so much, the people of that country have to do something for them. We can take his (father's) dream fulfilled; we can take Bangladesh forward with the cooperation of all. Maybe I could have done more had there been no Corona.

The Prime Minister said the people of Bangladesh have the power to overcome whatever obstacles come their way. I am grateful to Bangladesh for this.
