An unidentified man stabbed to death in the capital

An unidentified man was stabbed to death in front of the High Court in the capital.

At around 9pm on Saturday (January 23), he was rescued in a critical condition and taken to the emergency department of the DMCH, where doctors declared him dead.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp Assistant Inspector (ASI) Abdul Khan confirmed the matter.

He said a van driver brought a 45-year-old man to DMCH in a blood stained condition. The van driver could not say who stabbed him. He has three stab wounds in his left leg and injuries in his left hand. His identity was not immediately known. He was wearing a black sweater and gabardine pants. The body has been kept in the morgue for autopsy.

Shahbagh police sub-inspector (SI)Golam Hossain said his identity could not be ascertained. He also said that efforts are being made to identify him.
