Eight- year old Yasin becomes Hafez of Holy Quran in 99 days
Eight-year-old Yasin Abdullah has achieved the rare feat of memorizing the entire Holy Qur'an (Hafez) in just 99 days, not out of any kind of pressure or fear.
The wonder boy is a student of the Hifz department of Jamia Dawatul Quran Madrasa in Bhuigarh under Fatullah police station in Narayanganj. On the 8th of this month, he finished memorizing the Holy Qur'an.
Hafeez Maulana Mamunur Rashid, Principal of Jamia Dawatul Quran Madrasa, said that Yasin Abdullah is the youngest in the history of this Madrasa and the most famous student who memorized the entire Qur'an in a very short time.
The careful supervision of the teachers of Hifz department has played a special role behind his remarkable success.
Yasin Abdullah's father Shah Alam is a construction worker. Mother is a housewife Shahinur Begum. Although their village home is in Dugachhia of Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh district, they live in Bhuigarh for their livelihood. Shah Alam’s family consists of one son and one daughter. Yasin Abdullah's elder sister Sumaiya Akhter Lamia is also a student of Umme Muaz Talimunnisa, a girls' branch of Dawatul Quran Madrasa.
Hafez Yasin Abdullah's father Shah Alam said, ‘I had high hopes to make my son a memorizer(Hafez) of the Holy Quran. Allah has fulfilled my hope. Now we all want him to be a great Haqqani scholar. '
Hafez Yasin’s teachers said, ‘He is a very talented and attentive student. It was fun for him to memorize the Qur'an. He memorized the Holy Qur'an with natural joy without any pressure. He used to memorize eight to nine pages and recited. We think it is a sign of Allah’s might. '
It may be mentioned that Jamia Dawatul Quran Madrasa, established in 2003, has more than three hundred students. The madrasa is up to Mishkat Jamaat. There are plans to introduce Hadith in the highest class of Qawmi Madrasa here next year.
