Khaleda Zia tests positive

BNP chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia has been infected with Coronavirus said Health Ministry PRO Maidul Islam Prodhan on Sunday.

Her sample was collected on April 10 as she had been feeling feverish for some days. The report came positive for the virus on April 11.

However, BNP sources said their chairperson didn’t give the sample for the Coronavirus test.

Quoting Khaleda’s personal physician Dr Mamun, Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP Chairperson’s press wing, said they went to Khaleda’s residence ‘Feroza’ for regular health checkup but no was given.

It is to be mentionef here that amid the coronavirus outbreak, the government freed Khaleda Zia from jail on conditions for six months on an executive order suspending her sentences on March 25 last year.
