Non-banking financial institutions are also open from Thursday

Bangladesh Bank has decided to open non-banking financial institutions (NBFI) from Thursday (April 22) to April 28 to provide emergency financial services to customers in the ongoing lockdown.

The Financial Institutions and Markets Division of Bangladesh Bank issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday (April 21).

According to the circular, the maximum two branches of financial institutions except weekly and public holidays from April 22 to April 28 for the purpose of providing emergency financial services such as cash deposits on maturity, deposit of loan installments, etc. as customers, one in Dhaka and the other outside Dhaka can be kept open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
